Winter Classes: Jan. 19th-Mar. 9th

Supplies Suggested

Hip Scarf: You may borrow if necessary. We will have a few to lend. If you would like to purchase, think creatively: try thrift stores for triangular scarves or large square scarves that could be folded or cut in half. Target has appropriate scarves at times. EBay is also an option but watch shipping costs and check the sellers feedback rating before purchasing. If you want to support our local merchants, Ear Expressions, operated by Naliya and her mother, has a Bellydance Corner with many items available. phone: 549-9572, 221 W Cascade in Sisters

Veil: A 2.5 to 3 yard veil would be appropriate. You can use the same options as above or if you are handy, hit the fabric store and find a sheer fabric that you love! Edges can be surged or hand rolled.

Zills: We have a very limited supply of zills to borrow. It would be best if you purchased these on your own. Ear Expressions carries inexpensive beginner-type zills.

We recommend though, that if you intend to make this a hobby, it would be best to purchase better quality zills like those available through Saroyan Mastercrafts: www.saroyanzils.com

There are many styles to choose from. Smaller zills are recommended for beginners. Please keep in mind when ordering anywhere that you need a set of four (4) zills; two for each hand.

Here is a list of what we have used so far: You can check most of them out at rhapsody.com
